Thanks Miss D - I make you bang-on.
JP is remembered fondly by Sheff Weds & MK fans, then under Luggy he was decent for us. The problem with JP came when Luggy left, he just did not look like someone that wanted to be at Swindon. The Undertaker got in his hearse and drove back 'hame', and all of a sudden we have the real JP back - just one of many things that have seemingly clicked into place since DW took over.
It is amazing how big the psychological effect can be on team-mates & fans when someone puts a cruching tackle in, or chases a lost cause & gets a block in. Team-mates subconsciously think "I'm gonna lift it" & us lot in the stands move a few inches further forward in our seats, & raise the volume.

I've been a regular Town supporter since 1969. In the 70's I didn't miss a game home or away for seven years and have been a season ticket holder for the last 12 years.
I even attended the County Ground on my wedding day, v Bournemouth 1 - 1 chalkie White scored.
I feel perfectly placed to put my point of view.
I have no point of view on this subject. _________________ It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre. |

Hi - well I was there yesterday and could not find the Swindon flag and I was in the North stand as well. Took a walk around but to no avail. Pity. Did meet a bloke from Swindon though at the beer stand and we had a chat. The English must of outnumbered us SA's by 3 to 1 i am sure and it was a good day overall. The cheer that went up when Leeds scored was great and that railway train bar was rocking with the guys watching the game...........as usual too much beer and fun had and I suffered today at work. Cheers - next time maybe |

Hi yes cricket was awesome. Been to that "five flies" very nice i must admit. I am hoping to get to see Swindon play in September this year. Going to visit son in Barcelona and then on to UK to visit family and hopefully see JP play.
Maybe we can meet up then - i will keep you posted.
Cheers
